BITS AND BOBS TEXTURE TECHNIQUE FOR CARDMAKING PARADISE |
Bits and Bobs - Buttons |
I loved sorting through all my buttons and bits for the one above and the shell design below which I have used for the 4" swaps at our monthly craft club meeting.

This next one is an 8" canvas using various buttons and bits, including an owl and a pussycat!

These are all fabulous Sheel and thank you so much for bringing these challenges to us. I am finding this technique so addictive and am hunting around for different shapes and buttons!
ReplyDeleteLove your shell picture, where did you get the various shells and sea creatures?

Would you believe I had little baggies of the teeny shells and starfish sent to me in a Rak about 15 years ago by a lady called Heather in Australia. They went in my " too good to use drawer". Sooo I could not bring myself to actually use them all so I made silicone moulds with them and used air dry clay for the 4" square, even the seahorse is clay. Only the 3 or 4 larger shells are "real".
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed doing more with the original idea,
Absolutely gorgeous Sheelagh!! see you next month!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheelagh,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful melange of beautiful buttons, they look absolutely stunning on this fab frame you have made. I love how the Treasure Gold gilding paste adds such an extra special 'antiqueified' (is that a word or not?) dimension. One more project to add to my never ending list of 'must dos'. I am really enjoying having discovered your lovely blog. Thanks for the inspiring posts and photos.
Warmest best wishes,
Su
