Here is my pennant, using a crackle background, though it is difficult to see and a
subtle use of the Water Droplet stamp again from Designs by Ryn.

A great idea to make a monthly pennant swap and these are just gorgeous. I have just bought some of Ryn's raindrop stamps, 3 different ones and I'm still experimenting with them as backgrounds. What colour ink did you use to stamp the droplets on your pennant, Sheel? they are so realistic.

They are lovely stamps Marion, I am sure you will have fun with them.
ReplyDeleteI used a teal base before the crackle and a cream top coat, I tried to use the nearest blue to the teal, so used Colour Box Prussian Blue Chalk Ink (an old pad so nearly dry). The secret is to add the light reflection at the top of the droplets, or wherever they are on the stamps you have. If you use dye inks as a base, then you could lift a little colour from the centre of the droplets with water to lighten a little with the darker colour background, but still had the white highlight.
